KIPP Bay Area Schools is proving that demography does not define destiny. Every day, the collective efforts of 2,300 students, 128 teachers and seven school leaders across KIPP Bay Area Schools prove the possible: that public schools in low-income communities can prepare all students for success in college and the competitive world beyond.
KIPP Bay Area Schools (KBAS) is made up of five middle schools, two high schools and a regional support office. In 2010–2011, KIPP schools served more than 2,300 students. To date, 83% of KIPP alumni have matriculated to college.
