The San Francisco Social is an annual fundraiser that brings together an engaging young adult audience to support and become involved with important Bay Area causes. The event began six years ago, benefitting the Sonoma Jazz+ Festival, and today has hundreds of loyal followers and a track record of raising tens of thousands of dollars. Key to its mission, the event changes its beneficiary every two years to distribute financial support and awareness to a variety of deserving art, education, and service charities. Previous beneficiaries include the Sonoma Jazz+ Festival, the San Francisco Museums of Fine Arts and most recently, KIPP Bay Area Schools. Through the San Francisco Social, young leaders and their friends get together to impact their community and enjoy a memorable evening.

More on our beneficiary, KIPP Bay Area Schools

KIPP provides a proven path to and through college, regardless of previous academic record – 80% of KIPP alumni nationwide have matriculated to college, compared to the national average of 40% for low-income students.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, five KIPP middle schools and two KIPP high schools are proving that demography does not define destiny.  More than 2,000 students are being prepared for success in college and the competitive world beyond.  These tuition-free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory schools are located in the under-served neighborhoods of Bayview Hunters Point and the Western Addition in San Francisco, East San Jose, San Lorenzo, and West Oakland.
